What reading crime are you guilty of?

Huckleberry Who?

This article reminds me of my brief attempt at being a grad student. We made it through the inaugural course, and in the last week the professor finally told us there was an art to reading as a grad student...skimming. Otherwise, we would never have time to read everything we needed to read. Hello? First of all, now you tell me?? And second, doesn't that just seem, oh I don't know...wrong???

Dropping out was definitely a good move, dontcha think?

In a real sense, people who have read good literature have lived more than people who cannot or will not read. It is not true that we have only one life to live; if we can read, we can live as many more lives and as many kinds of lives as we wish. ~S.I. Hayakawa

The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.
~St. Augustine

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.
~Mark Twain
