- Fizzy Thoughts: Read-a-thon!

It's almost time for the read-a-thon!

The read-a-thon is hosted by Dewey, and it's a 24 hour event dedicated to reading, blogging about reading, and visiting the blogs of other participants. Ahhh, a full day dedicated to reading. What could be better? Unfortunately, I won't be able to participate as a reader, but that doesn't mean you can't. And I have signed up to be a cheerleader (no pom-poms required), so if you do sign up, I'll be visiting your blog and leaving encouraging comments (hopefully, that didn't chase you away).

Anyhoosie...you can click here to read all the details about the read-a-thon. And I'm off to practice my cheers.

I'll be cheerleading with you and hosting a mini-challenge. I need to get my post up about this!

In a real sense, people who have read good literature have lived more than people who cannot or will not read. It is not true that we have only one life to live; if we can read, we can live as many more lives and as many kinds of lives as we wish. ~S.I. Hayakawa

The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.
~St. Augustine

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.
~Mark Twain
